That’s my response to Nikki every time I go over to the coast to bring back some new pieces & she tries to convince me I already have enough to last the rest of my life. I used to be able to collect it myself off the remote interior islands on Florida’s Gulf Coast but it grew too difficult. Fortunately I was able to find a local man who’s been gathering & selling driftwood his entire life. Each time I’ll spend several hours examining each piece to be able to select the choice ones for me to create my driftwood furniture. With so many recent inquiries for dining tables I was hoping to acquire some of those larger unique stumps that I could put together in the coming months. I was in luck as he had some very nice large root systems & I was able to load up my trailer. The next day back at my shop as I was unloading my treasure I already could visualize what I think will be some very nice driftwood coffee & dining tables. After our last art show of the season next weekend in Englewood, I hope to start the process of restocking my depleted table inventory & filling the orders my customers have graciously commissioned me to create.
