Don, thank you for the beautiful driftwood coffee table and the carved bird on driftwood surprise! The delivery went perfectly, Philip could not be any nicer and any more efficient. I am enclosing a picture, but I will take one after I get my new sofa so you can see how lovely the table complements the decor. The table that is currently in the dining room is an 8 foot table. I am going to want to talk with you about creating something for that room, but will need to sell the table that is in there first.

We ordered a red cedar driftwood table with a kidney shaped glass top from Donald Patrick at Driftwood Decor and we are so pleased! The table is absolutely beautiful and exactly as pictured on the website. It goes very well with our leather sectional sofa. The table and glass arrived in perfect condition and were very well crated and protected.
Don, we are so happy with the Redwood coffee table. The table you made for us – California Redwood top and Cedar base works just great for us and goes perfectly in our Western theme TV room. You were very helpful in showing us various designs to pick from to get it “just right.” At first we were a little leery since we’ve never ordered a custom piece of furniture on line, without seeing it in person. Recently bought a home and to be honest, it’s not beach front property as I have always desired. However, it doesn’t mean I can’t bring the beach environment into my home. Don designed and built an incredible driftwood custom base for a console table. I had a unique situation and needed something only 24″ high. Not only did he interpret my specifications perfectly but his communication was outstanding. He sent photos throughout the process. Made adjustments as we proceeded. Never once did he refer to costs (although he was very clear as to what it would be in the beginning of the process). His concern was getting the end product exactly as I wanted. The quality of the piece is wonderful. He is an artisan – not a contractor. And a really nice person too!”

Having spent my childhood growing up in south Florida, I knew exactly what I wanted when I went looking for driftwood furniture. I found Don through some internet searches. Here’s what you get with Don. He was always prompt in our correspondence, gave me clear and definitive information and set the right expectations. Buying furniture online, especially a centerpiece like our table was a real stretch for me because I want to see it in person. Don had a good understanding of my concerns. He gave me a timeline and kept to it. He sent me early pictures of new pieces he acquired a bit raw, let me select the one I wanted and held it months while it finished in the sun. We discussed dimensions in meticulous detail and he was perfectly accommodating. When complete, he final priced, built the shipping crate (quite sturdy), and shipped on time. DON DON DON…. I LOVE YOUR WORK. AND SO WILL OTHERS. I wish i had enough vocabulary to give this absolutely amazing artist and a craftsman a higher mark than 5 stars. I have been looking for redwood table for 3 months and of course most of are in CA. The shipping along would be north of $300. ( I am in Florida). 1) He has been responsive from the get go. Answers every single phone call and email (which i could never get from CA guys. Think they need to come down from their high horse) Explained in layman terms what type of wood, grain, burl, etc… 2) he went as far as to take pictures of availble cuts to show sizes. He then went as far as wetting those cuts to show the color and the grain. So long story short I comissioned Don to make me a coffee table. After many many emails and phone calls I finally was confident in his artestry and craftsmanship. He had it made in 2 weeks and I went to pick it up in Orlando. He cut his vacation short to come meet me at his shop. OHHHH. I also forgot to mention he is flexible with orders . Even if you dont like what you order but see some other piece there – he has no objections to do swap it out. The table definitely made a statement upon being placed in my patio. And gave many people a WOW FACTOR. Don – I am forever your fan. Hope people will see your creations and appreciate them like i do. …. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. Having admired Driftwood Decor’s work at an art fair in Vero Beach, I worked with Don Patrick to have him create for me a stand up desk. That desk is now a show stopping centerpiece of my home office, largely because of the care and attention Don gave to it. He refused to send it until it was “right”, and indeed it was. He personally organized a custom glass top, which is very high quality and crystal clear, with nice beveled edges. He also took special care to arrange and secure the various pieces of seasoned cedar so they are bullet proof. We did all this on an handshake, which was very comfortable to do with Don. “It’s difficult to know where to begin my praises of my experience with Mr. Patrick…so I’ll start at the beginning 🙂 We decided to start a major home remodel in February and to carry on our 36 year “coastal theme”, but with many upgrades and, well, “classier” stuff! One day, I Googled “driftwood furniture” just to see if I could get some kind of inspiration. Lo and behold, I found driftwood and glass tables – beautiful! I wanted one. But, alas, waaay out of our budget price range. Crate and Barrel has a (so called) driftwood coffee table, but for the price, it was frankly just….unattractive and looked like a bunch of old faded waste wood tacked together into a wood concretion! Not at all what I was looking for….I asked our designer (we went whole hog and hired a professional to manage our project – very atypical for us, but we just didn’t know where to begin) to check around…and she came up with pretty much the same results I had. Just too pricey. Or just too ugly! Well, I kept at it and found the CustomMade site…and ultimately, Don Patrick. The pics of his work surpassed anything I’d seen anywhere else on the World Wide Web! So….I started a project and initiated a conversation with Mr. Patrick. We had some honest back and forth discussions and “meeting” Don, albeit only virtually, felt like discovering a long lost friend. He was very willing to work with me on a custom piece in a price range I could afford….no, NOT “cheap” but MUCH greater value and beauty for similarly priced works. What ensued were many messages back and forth, many questions asked and answered, a piece of raw wood we both thought could work for my purpose (and budget) and ultimately, delivery TODAY of my long-desired, one of a kind, custom-made for ME, gorgeous Florida Red Cedar driftwood table! From start to finish, communication could NOT have been better. Every aspect of the transaction was easy and smooth…It has been one of the most pleasurable purchases I have ever made, and I cannot say enough good things about Don Patrick and his work and artistry. But I’ve tried and hope I’ve been able to convey my sincere appreciation of the man’s talent and integrity. It was scary at first to reach out to a total stranger…but my trust has amply been repaid.
