A driftwood sofa table & two driftwood lamps
One of the things I’ve always enjoyed by participating in Florida’s art festivals was the direct interaction with the many people who came by our display over the course of a weekend. It allowed them to see firsthand what our work looked like & if they weren’t in the market at the time, it gave them an idea for the future. Such was the case with Max & Patricia who saw our furniture at the Stuart Artsfest Festival in the past & were now ready to place some of my work in their home. Recently they drove up from their home in Port St Lucie to take a look at some of my sofa/foyer tables. They also saw a couple of driftwood lamps they liked but weren’t sure how they would look. So I told them to take them home to find out. If they were a fit they could just send me a check & if not just bring them back when they were in Orlando. The next day they let me know I wasn’t getting them back & they just happened to have the perfect shades for them.
We aren’t participating in any shows this year (first time in over 30 years) & although we won’t miss the travel & hard work of setting up a display, we will miss the one on one times we’ve had with the many wonderful people who like what we create.
Aloha Don,
I love the lamps. Have you done lamps before? One or two would look lovely here in la la land. XO Jan
