Artsfest in Stuart, Florida
Nikki & I participated in the Artsfest Arts & Crafts festival this past weekend. It was held on the street & in beautiful Memorial Park in downtown Stuart and although the weather was perfect the crowds, unfortunately, didn’t materialize. We did sell a number of driftwood lamps & talked with some people who are in interested in some custom pieces in the future.
I did get the chance to meet some new artists who also create pieces with a coastal or driftwood theme. The first was John Townsend from nearby Sanford who specializes in bronze marine sculptures but what caught my eye was his glass foyer tables.
The second artist was Greg Searcy, a wood sculptor from Rockport, Texas. His main medium is cypress driftwood from the swamps of Louisiana but he also uses some Texas red cedar.
We’ve got our final art show of the season in 2 weeks in Englewood & then I’ll be able to start concentrating on creating a lot of new tables & fulfilling the custom pieces that customers have commissioned me to make.
Really neat pieces!
love your art. I need a base for a dining table, i have the glass, how i can take a quote quote. Thank you.
